🇺🇸 ✅ On this US election day like no other, I thought it would be an interesting experiment to track which Emojis are used on Twitter, and print out what would be a sentiment seismic chart from the Twittosphere.
You can explore the chart by selecting specific emojis or zooming in and out in time. The vertical axis represents the amount of specific emojis published in a 5 minutes timespan, and the horizontal axis is time in EST. The count was not narrowed down by hashtags, so this represents the whole Twittosphere on November 3rd, 2020. Only the 100 most popular emojis are shown on the graph.
Data is collected from the Emojitracker API built by Matthew Rothenberg.
Since the election results are not in yet, I continued the experiment on November 4th.
